- Owing to its inherent design, Angenieux Optimo 2X extenders are compatible with the Optimo line (not Optimo DP) and many other PL Primes and Zooms.
- This extender is an ideal way of increasing focal length at a cost effective price. The focal length is multiplied by 2x with a two T-stop loss at full aperture.

Unlike other doublers, the narrow design of this double allows it to be used with many lightweight film zooms – see below.
The Angenieux Optimo 2x converter is compatible with the following lenses:

System Focal length 19.5-94mm (39-188mm with extender)
Aperture T2.8 (T5.6 with extender)

System Focal length 28-76mm (56-152mm with extender)
